MOUNTING OPTIONS

You can choose between the following two mounting options. However, some Portland stairs are very old and the concrete is cracked and crumbly. In some cases core drilling maybe the only option.

  • Core drilled (additional cost) - 3” hole drilled 10” into concrete. The posts are placed and the hole is filled with concrete.

                  OR

  • Plates with drive-in anchors - A base plate is welded to posts 2 to 4 holes are drilled into the concrete and 3/8” drive-in anchors are secured.

FABRICATION AND POWDER COAT

Once the price is accepted final measurements will made and the approximate instillation date will be assigned. Generally there is a two week turn around.

Handrails will be fabricated and sent off to be *powder coated.

*Powder Coating is the process of dry paint/pigment powder applied electrostatically and then cured under heat. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

INSTALLATION

We will install in most weather, however torrential rain or snow may cause a delay. Generally less than 1 hour install time.

  • We will need to have access to an electrical outlet.

  • If it is a core drill installation, we will need access to water.
